Mission: To bring together institutions, disciplines, and programs around targeted areas in the renewable energy field. In its role as integrator, RASEI assembles and packages the skills, capabilities, and programs represented in the partner institutions to create a set of impact areas with defined products that are important to evolving industries. Graduate Programs
The possible programs for graduate students at RASEI are:
- individual graduate level courses;
- a graduate energy certificate;
- a graduate degree in environmental studies;
- a graduate degree in building systems engineering;
- a degree in electrical, computer, and energy engineering; and,
- a graduate degree in mechanical engineering (energy)

Research
RASEI currently researches many interesting topics all relating to renewable and alternative energy. The current research topics involve:

- Sustainable Transportation and Fuels

Interesting find: University of Colorado Boulder physics professor awarded Presidential Early Career Award by President Obama.
Alysia Marino, a physics professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, was one of 13 Department of Energy researchers who was given this award. She received her award for her study of neutrino properties, which could be used to develop diagnostic tools. The award is given to young scientists and engineers for their research to help the nation achieve energy independence and enhance national security. Marino receives a $750,000, five year grant along with the award. Full Story
