Energy Engineering Minor: This minor is open to all undergraduate students in Engineering.
Energy Studies Minor: This minor is open to undergraduate students in all majors and colleges at the University of Notre Dame and offers two required energy courses and a technical and non-technical track of electives.
Graduate programs in Biological sciences, chemical and biological engineering has significant crossover with alternative energy.

Research efforts associated with cSEND will include the three thrust areas named below, as well as other energy related areas such as technology and policy for energy efficiency, fuel cells, batteries, wind, geothermal, solar photovoltaics, biofuels, and smart grid.
