Job Summary

UGE develops, owns, and operates community and commercial solar and energy storage projects, primarily in the United States. With over a decade of experience in the industry, we are on the front lines, working to accelerate the transition to clean, reliable energy.
We seek a talented and motivated individual to join our Offtake team.
This role is responsible for managing the acquisition and management of subscribers or offtakers for our community solar projects, whether directly or through other parties. The role will also be responsible for reporting on key metrics to ensure the organization’s goals are being met.
A suitable candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a high performing, fast moving and collaborative environment, and a desire to learn. Experience in solar or the power industry is preferred but not required. The role presents a strong opportunity for growth for an individual who can learn quickly and become an effective member of the team.

Reporting Relationships

This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Responsibilities

Conduct RFPs, negotiate and contract with external parties to acquire and manage subscribers for UGE’s community solar projects
Manage relationships with subscriber organizations and other partners to ensure achievement of project milestones and other goals
Develop and monitor key metrics related to community solar subscribers, including payments, subscriber acquisition and churn
Work closely with other departments at UGE to ensure smooth project development and operation of projects throughout the project life
Monitor developments in UGE’s target community solar markets to ensure that UGE’s objectives and project milestones are met
Required Skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably including familiarity with financial models
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to successfully manage and negotiate with external parties, building mutually beneficial relationships while also pursuing the company’s goals
Experience with managing competing priorities in a changing environment
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree
2+ years experience in a role/organization with transferable skills (eg. financial analysis, problem solving, communication skills, project management)
