E Source is looking for a Market Research Analyst to join our team. At E Source, you’ll be responsible for bringing the voice of the customer and voice of the utility to in-house research experts and E Source members. We’re seeking an insights professional who can manage all research project activities, is comfortable partnering across teams to translate data into compelling stories, and can nurture relationships through day-to-day interaction. E Source provides independent research, analytics, and consulting and advisory services to electric and gas utilities and other key players in the energy marketplace. Qualifications and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Scope and design research projects with internal stakeholders

  • Manage recruitment and fielding

  • Analyze data and identify key findings

  • Create engaging reports

  • Present results to internal stakeholders and clients

  • Assist with data quality assurance checks


  • Strong listening skills; can identify underlying business questions and recommend appropriate survey methodology and design

  • Strong writing and research skills; can synthesize information to create actionable, succinct data-driven stories

  • Strong communication skills; sets clear expectations, delivers on established deadlines, and communicates research results in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Must be detailed-oriented, able to manage multiple work streams, and able to prioritize work independently based on department needs and objectives

  • Possess a natural curiosity and a can-do attitude and exhibits comfort with ambiguity

  • A flair for nurturing and building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Flexible; proactive; self-starter; entrepreneurial; willing to innovate

  • Adheres to market research standards regarding personally identifiable information (PII) and privacy

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • One to three years of relevant experience conducting market research among B2B and B2C groups, preferably with a supplier such as Nielsen, Ipsos, or other similar organizations

  • Experience using basic quantitative analytical techniques such as regression and factor analysis is preferred

  • Experience with qualitative methodologies, including ethnographic research is a plus

  • Experience with SPSS, Qualtrics, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools is preferred

  • Experience in the energy industry is helpful, but not required

  • Experience with graphic design software is a plus
