Responsibilities:

Own hardware design and lead development of the DC Fast Charger Controller and related SECC cards.
Responsible for maintaining BOM and sourcing components.
Responsible for releasing schematics tracking version control.
Hands-on design and validation of prototype hardware.
Develop and manage suppliers including board house, qualification testing, field testing, and complete system implementation.
Ensure design maturity through characterizations and debugging on prototype hardware.
Define and Support Board EOL procedures.
Work cross functionally with Software and Firmware teams to drive test and hardware requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

BS or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field.
Hardware design experience in analog, digital and mixed signal and interfaces
Experience with schematic design tools, PCB layout, FPGA development systems and tools, simulation tools (PSpice, Matlab, etc)
Experience with protocols including SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet.
Working Knowledge of High Voltage systems and Power Electronics
Proficiency on necessary test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
Be a good self-starter, have a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision.
Have good organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
Ability to travel occasionally.

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with embedded Linux devices is a plus.
Knowledge of EV protocols such as CCS, J1772, DIN 701212 and ISO 15118 is a plus.

For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $140,000 USD to $150,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
