EnerNOC has an immediate opening for Customer Data Analytics Manager. In this Boston-based role, you will be responsible for developing deep insights about EnerNOC’s customer data with the goal of identifying and validating new business development opportunities, informing new product expansion strategies, and driving cross-sell and upsell activity throughout the organization. You will ultimately become the customer data expert that everyone will be seeking for insights on how to grow our portfolio of customers using our innovative energy solutions.
Develop a deep understanding about EnerNOC’s customer related data across all of our available data platforms
Take on EnerNOC’s most complex data, reporting and analytical challenges in support of our aggressive growth goals
Source and mine data from disparate data sources to create meaningful insights that support the business, all while maintaining data accuracy and data integrity in deliverables
Work closely with members of the sales, marketing, product, service delivery, and operations organizations to provide data, reporting, and analytical support that drives customer adoption for EnerNOC’s products and services
Analyze and drive recommendations from a variety of public, proprietary, and customer related data sources including, but not limited to: portfolio analysis, customer energy budgets, variance to budget, savings from default service, load profiles, mark to market reporting, tariff analysis, sustainability reporting, and pricing indices.
Collaborate with other key internal stakeholders to identify data quality and data model improvement opportunities that will enable streamlining and automating analysis
BA/BS, with a degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research or another analytical field
5+ years of meaningful experience; e.g. Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Marketing Analysis, or other analytical background
Experience with BI and data visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Looker, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
Detail oriented, sense of urgency, self-starter who possesses the intellectual curiosity to be a systematic problem solver
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage time, multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Attention to detail and a questioning attitude
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Self motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment
Strong desire to develop expertise in the new energy ecosystem, including Demand Response, Green Energy, Energy Storage, and other innovative Energy Management solutions.
Ability and strong desire to learn new technologies
Advanced SQL; Python, R and other programming languages a plus
Masters degree in statistics, operations research, predictive analytics, or other data intensive program
