The Manager, Strategy is responsible for analyzing product, market and competitor trends to support strategic decision making for AutoGrid’s Executive. The role will help to establish baseline operational performance metrics, provide research for presentations and financial models to support the general business planning of AutoGrid. The position will interact extensively with key internal and external stake holders to understand their current and future needs, and coordinate with each department to ensure the business takes the right actions to meet those needs.
Business Case Development
Create rigor and process around analysis of use cases for deployment of AutoGrid resources by segment, geography, and expected rate of return.
Establish best practices and engage leadership team to help them support development of business cases for projects and ideas they would like to be considered by COO and CEO.
Help create process for analysis of potential partners, acquisitions and business development partners around the globe.
Assist in fund raising and financial modeling for forecasting and business development.
Competitive research and strategy analysis
Perform SWOT analysis on key competitors and engage AutoGrid’s stakeholders with results.
Identify industry trends and engage AutoGrid’s stakeholders with results.
Assist in the development of overall strategy with COO and engage our Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance and delivery teams and ensure alignment.
Assist development and implementation of key performance metrics across the business
Prepare reports and presentations as needed for investors and other audiences on AutoGrid performance.
Create process for establishing and updating key performance metrics (KPIs) to assist the executive team in understanding the operational performance of each area of business.
Research and identify patterns and recommend ideas for continuous process improvement across our business.
Take the lead role in organizing the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings.
Take the lead role in strategic projects identified by COO and CEO.
Provide a support role as needed for key projects across other departments.
Participate as leadership team member in weekly calls to help document and establish best practices for follow up and commitments of team members, providing insights and analysis to propel the business strategy and adopt new and innovative technical approaches to solve business problems.
Understand the strategy and related business and financial issues of AutoGrid and be able to link business initiative to marketplace events; anticipate shifts in the business and regulatory environment and the potential impact of these might have on the Company’s plans and business initiatives.
Respond to inbound requests from Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Development, and Product teams in a disciplined manner. Require proper diligence from the extended team and be willing to turn down requests that are not supported within our overall strategy.

3 to 5 years of operational experience in a software or hardware environment
Proven ability to grasp and synthesize complex business problems and explain in quantitative and qualitative terms for multiple audiences
3 to 5 years of professional project management experience with hands-on roles leading cross-cultural teams on projects over $1,000,000 in budget
Hands-on in-depth familiarity with development of go to market strategies and multiple product launches completed with quantitative results
General expertise in distributed computing and service-oriented architectures, product development and a proven ability to communicate such advantages in a pre-sales capacity
Excellent communications skills, experience of working as part of a global distributed team
Ability to develop compelling business cases and plans, financial analysis, and professional presentations
MBA and undergrad degree in a business-related field (economics, business, etc.)
A minor in mathematics or statistics is a plus
Experience working for a consulting firm is a plus
Startup experience is a plus
