Freedom Solar Power is looking for an organized Assistant Regional Operations Manager. The Ops Assistant is responsible for preparing residential installation crews for pre-construction projects and managing regional inside operations and administrative duties. The ideal Ops Assistant has strong communication and customer services skills, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and can multitask. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior project administrative experience looking to gain exposure in the solar industry!
Job Duties:
Managing the resolution of failed inspections and workmanship issues, including coordinating with customers, technicians, and subcontractors
Serving as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, including managing schedules and ensuring that all work is completed to standards
Overseeing the pre-installation process for new construction homes, including coordinating with builders
Providing ongoing training and support to the regional team on safety and best practices
Monitoring regional production and inspection scheduling to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and on schedule
Ensuring that all customer systems are functioning properly by supervising the commissioning and inspections processes
Overseeing site assessments and the inspections process, including coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure that all necessary information is conveyed
Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as needed or as directed by management
Flexibility to take on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree perferred
1-2 years prior scheduling/project management experience
Prior solar/construction experience strongly preferred Prior experience with scheduling and dispatching resources is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or G Suite
Familiarity with CRM, EAM, and MRO software tools
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Atributes:
Strong verbal and written skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet use
Strong work ethic
Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization
Ability to meet motor vehicle requirements and maintain a valid driver’s license
Ability to perform normal office duties
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine the accuracy of work
