Role And Responsibilities
Supervise a group of 1-2 individuals within the Compliance & Risk group, providing direction to meet goals
Main point of contact for clients.
Manage workload for Compliance Administrator and Compliance Analyst.
Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
Own the monthly compliance report process, including review, content creation, and distribution.
Ensure compliance filings are completed on time and required documentation is stored correctly.
Coordinate with the NERC Implementation team to onboard new projects.
Proficient at communicating complex compliance requirements to novice counterparties.
Track requirements for NERC Generator Owner and Operator Standards and understand compliance status at all times.
Implement and track to completion remediation and process improvement activities to ensure all client expectations are meant.
Provide excellent customer services and prioritize client needs.
Maintain compliance policies and procedures. Complete annual and ongoing updates as needed.
Lead meetings with external stakeholders and internal teams. Resolve issues within team.
Mentor team on job specific roles, communication, and collaboration.
Work with direct manager to provide career coaching, and administration of company policies for the team.
Propose updates to division policies.
Propose team improvement initiatives, leading implementation once approved.
Required Qualification & Education
Minimum 2 years renewable energy industry experience in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations roles
2+ years work experience in NERC Compliance
Proven communication skills with the ability to resolve large issues
Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and internal/external high-level management
University Degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of domain experience, or
Masters/Graduate and 0-2 years domain experience
Degree in business, management, or relevant field preferred
Experience Required
2-4 years experience in domain
Preferred Experience
3+ years actively managing/supporting a Generator Owner compliance program
Project leadership or other team leadership roles
Working knowledge of photovoltaic system design, wind or battery storage operations and management
Required Skills & Competencies
Experience with regulatory compliance, NERC, FERC, or other reporting obligations for operating projects is a plus
Experience with data analysis, reporting, and presentation a plus
Ability to take ownership of tasks and pursue until completion
Strong interpersonal & customer service skills
Attention to detail and ability to deliver a quality work product
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to track & execute large volumes of on-going compliance obligations
Able to lead a team to achieve a goal, able to work as part of a larger team

Basic project management skills – organizing work, planning, monitoring and making tradeoffs to ensure quality deliveries.
Able to liaise with clients and internal teams on significant issues that require high level management intervention in a professional manner

The Pay Range For This Role Is
69,000 – 115,000 USD per year(United States)
