Solar Marketing Analyst 9 views


The Solar Marketing Analyst will hinge on the ability to find, assemble and digest information, and work with diverse members of the solar team to gather data, draw connections, and make recommendations to enter new markets or expand presence in existing markets

Essential Responsibilities:
Keep internal data current and complete to support marketing communications
Inform internal and external customers our thinking regarding optimal sales strategy
Analyze our cost out initiatives
Support the Solar sales team by keeping clear and current records of policy and regulatory environments
Work closely with Solar Development function to keep our team ahead of market incentives and changes
Engage with engineering and construction functions to synthesize cost and competitive data
Assemble and keep up to date: GE Solar installed base & ancillary statistics
Research new markets, outlining market electricity pricing, policy status, and form business recommendations
Rank, categorize, and update incentive databases & market electricity pricing
Perform analysis on GE Solar cost position, per market, and recommend courses of action to lower cost
Interview customers and team members to assemble relevant project statistics for market communications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
2 years’ experience in market research or related field

Desired Characteristics:
Knowledge of commercial energy market segments & activity
Specific experience with renewable energy or electricity policy
CLP Graduate
Experience with C&I energy management, sustainability
Research capabilities, online research and in-person interviewing skills
Data assembly and management experience
Intellectual curiosity
Strong attention to detail
Adaptability to changing landscapes, ability to learn quickly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Statistical analysis experience
Financial modeling experience
Experience with C&I energy management and/or sustainability
Self-Starter, proactive, ability to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly
Superior time management and organizational skills
Effective problem solver
Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management and corporate contacts
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills including strong grammatical skills
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones
