The Regional Service Operations O&M Performance Manager is responsible for conducting performance analysis of Solar PV power plants through data analysis and identifying relationships between events and trends in operational data. The candidate will have strong interaction with field technicians, solar plant staff, service managers, and customers in order to ensure optimal plant performance.
Identify and investigate solar PV plant performance anomalies through data analysis, existing reports, plant logs, and inquiries and work to resolve root cause of underperformance with regional field operations staff.
Work with in-place, new or developed software and analysis solutions and tools
Work closely with regional field staff to troubleshoot underperforming assets
Create internal and external performance reports with limited oversight
Communicate effectively and professionally with external customers regarding plant performance and reporting
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reports
Collaborate with project teams to work on new analysis tool development
Identify and improve deficiencies in existing analysis tools and methods
Create performance testing procedures and reporting methods based off of contract requirements
Work to continuously improve current analysis and reporting methods for increased efficiency

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other Science and Analytical background
Must have or be willing to have NABCEP PVI/PVA or equivalent certification within 12 months of hire.
2 + years of relevant work experience with proven leadership skills.
Renewable energy or energy industry experience in monitoring systems, analytics, and plant performance management.
Knowledge of basic statistics principles, root cause analysis, working with large data sets, and data visualization
Deep understanding of data analysis and the ability to identify relationships between operational events and trends in measured data
Proficiency with an analytical programming language such as Python, R, or Matlab • Ability to effectively communicate technical details
Experience with solar modeling software such as PVSyst or PlantPredict a plus
Ability to work independently and drive improvements
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Organized, accurate, and focused style of work
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required. German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.
