Primary job duties will include prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding corporate partnerships, including planning and executing more than 50 sponsored workday installation events; assisting with general fundraising duties, including foundation relations, grant writing, and story-telling for impact; and internal collaboration to build and enact data tracking systems, assist with community events and generally increase our fundraising capacity and success. The Partnerships Coordinator may also directly supervise a full time Development Assistant. This position reports directly to the Bay Area Development and Programs Manager.
Lead on developing and maintaining corporate partnerships:
Manage the planning and implementation of GRID’s Sponsored Workday program, including presentations to groups, job site visits on active GRID installs, collecting and sharing communications deliverables, and data entry, all working closely with the Development Manager and GRID’s National Development team.
Recruit, cultivate and steward potential partnerships through events, including happy hours and more formal events such as Solarthon, an installation block party, and Interconnection, a gala-style annual fundraiser. Lead these events as needed.
Provide all partners with incentives to broaden their philanthropic relationship with GRID, including bundling sponsorships, partnerships outside of the Corporate Workday Program, and integrated communications deliverables.
Steward and forge new relationships to build the development program and to increase our visibility in the community at events and online.
Research potential corporate and foundation grant opportunities, and, as appropriate, lead grant-writing and reporting efforts.
Provide leadership on scheduling, processes, systems and more as a key member of GRID Bay Area’s project management team, including navigating interdepartmental communications and priorities.
Work internally with staff to maximize the use of photo and video content for communicating with different stakeholders.
Support the Bay Area story bank: creating stories and cases for giving campaigns, including interviewing, photography and video from GRID clients, volunteers, installations, staff and partners.
Assist with writing, editing and managing web updates and blogs on a routine (weekly to monthly) basis.
Provide general support and brainstorming to promote other fundraising goals, including efforts to promote volunteers as donors and grow GRID’s individual donor base.
Other duties as assigned to help bring the benefits of renewable energy technology and job training to unserved communities.

Minimum 2 years of recent successful nonprofit fundraising experience, or equivalent experience in a parallel field from the for-profit sector such as sales or marketing
Incredible attention to detail in tracking email and phone communications, data entry, and multiple projects at once
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, time management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to conduct work in a friendly and professional manner with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong and broad computer skills, ideally including Salesforce, Google apps, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles as needed for work travel
Passion for GRID’s mission and ability to excite the support of others
Availability to work on occasional evenings and weekends
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background screen
High energy, passion, and understanding of renewable energy, affordable housing, workforce development, the environment/environmental justice, or just generally grounded in making the world a better place
Experience with html and/or website content management systems
Experience with photography and/or videography
Desire for a development, marketing, or public relations career
Experience using multi-media and social media for development and fundraising
Bilingual in English and Spanish
