Job Duties

Lead on developing and maintaining corporate partnerships:
Manage the planning and implementation of GRID’s Sponsored Workday program, including presentations to groups, job site visits on active GRID installs, collecting and sharing communications deliverables, and data entry, all working closely with the Development Manager and GRID’s National Development team.
Recruit, cultivate and steward potential partnerships through events, including happy hours and more formal events such as Solarthon, an installation block party, and Interconnection, a gala-style annual fundraiser. Lead these events as needed.
Provide all partners with incentives to broaden their philanthropic relationship with GRID, including bundling sponsorships, partnerships outside of the Corporate Workday Program, and integrated communications deliverables.
Steward and forge new relationships to build the development program and to increase our visibility in the community at events and online.
Research potential corporate and foundation grant opportunities, and, as appropriate, lead grant-writing and reporting efforts.
Provide leadership on scheduling, processes, systems and more as a key member of GRID Bay Area’s project management team, including navigating interdepartmental communications and priorities.
Work internally with staff to maximize the use of photo and video content for communicating with different stakeholders.
Support the Bay Area story bank: creating stories and cases for giving campaigns, including interviewing, photography and video from GRID clients, volunteers, installations, staff and partners.
Assist with writing, editing and managing web updates and blogs on a routine (weekly to monthly) basis.
Provide general support and brainstorming to promote other fundraising goals, including efforts to promote volunteers as donors and grow GRID’s individual donor base.
Other duties as assigned to help bring the benefits of renewable energy technology and job training to unserved communities.
Every member of GRID Alternatives must participate in the organization’s equity, inclusion, and diversity work.
