What We’re Looking For

Nexamp is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our Project Accounting team. You will be responsible for month end functions, reporting, third party services accounting, and other ad-hoc projects. You will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

You will be hybrid out of our Boston Office. You will report to the Manager, Project Accounting.

What You’ll Do

Record monthly journal entries for the financial close, which include (but are not limited) to prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, debt, revenue, etc.
Maintain supporting schedules for the month-end close and assist with the preparation of the project financial statements.
Support cash and bank reconciliation function as needed.
Communicate across departments to assist with gathering an required information to finalize the close process.
Prepare financial statement reporting packages and various deliverables to investors and lenders.
Assist in the creation/development of financing packages for lenders for projects that are in construction.
Manage Intercompany Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances
Support the AR, AP, and corporate accounting functions as needed.
Participate in annual inventory checks at an offsite location
Ad-hoc projects as requested by management

What You’ll Bring

1-2 years of professional experience in accounting, or equivalent internship experience
Proficiency with MS office suite and project management tools
Strict attention to detail.
Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment.
Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow
Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow’s climate crisis today.
Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
