ACCIONA, within its Water business line, is seeking to hire an Electrical Technical Lead to support the delivery of a major desalination project in Corpus Christi, Texas.
This role acts as the technical authority for electrical systems, ensuring designs and solutions are safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant with project and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical oversight of electrical systems (MV/LV distribution, substations, MCCs, VFDs, backup power)
Ensure alignment between electrical, mechanical, process, and control systems
Review and approve engineering designs and vendor deliverables
Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up
Act as the main escalation point for complex electrical issues
Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Proven experience in industrial, water, wastewater, or desalination projects
Strong knowledge of power distribution, large motor systems, and utility interfaces
Experience with studies (short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination) is a plus
Background in EPC or design-build projects preferred
