Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technical Lead – Desalination
We are looking for an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technical Lead to support the delivery of the Corpus Christi Desalination Plant.
This role serves as the technical authority for instrumentation, automation, PLC, and SCADA systems, ensuring that plant control and monitoring systems are safe, reliable, integrated, and aligned with operational and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical oversight of instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial network systems
Ensure alignment between process, electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
Review and approve engineering designs, control philosophies, and vendor deliverables
Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities
Act as the main escalation point for complex I&C and automation issues
Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, quality, and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in industrial, water, wastewater, or desalination facilities
Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA-based process control systems
Experience with automation integration, commissioning, and industrial networks
Background in EPC or design-build projects preferred
Desalination or advanced water treatment experience is a plus
