BCS, Incorporated is looking for the best qualified Alternative Energy Systems Engineer to join our team to better serve our client in the areas of improving energy planning and management at military facilities. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert for the evaluation and implementation of alternative energy project opportunities involving natural gas or CHP technologies. They will make recommendations and advise on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. The successful candidate will be stationed in Washington, DC.
G eneral Responsibilities: Function as the subject matter expert for evaluation and implementation of alternative energy project opportunities involving natural gas or CHP technologies Provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements Make recommendations and advise on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts Perform risk assessments and analyses employing modeling and simulation techniques Work collaboratively to promote a team environment
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related discipline. Experience support the U.S. DoD, Army, or Air Force is a plus Experience with Cyber is a plus Experience with design and specification of multiple large scale alternative energy projects utilizing one or more of the following technologies: natural gas or combined heat and power (CHP) projects Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
