The Management Analyst will provide financial, administrative, analytical and research support to assist
with financial planning and analysis, business reporting, industry analysis, management/board/investor
reporting and customer relationship management. The Management Analyst will contribute to the
development of the company’s annual business plan and support commercial product lines and related
sales and customer relationships, while supporting Edeniq’s efforts in the development of new market
opportunities. The Management Analyst will report directly to the CFO with a dotted line relationship to
Specific Responsibilities :
Compile operating and financial data to prepare, analyze and report operational and financial metrics to the management team;
Assist in management and board-level report preparation;
Perform specific economic, technical and business analysis as needed and requested;
Track, report and analyze commodity pricing trends specific to Edeniq’s industry;
Provide analyses of industries, competitors and financial models to support research of new product or business lines;
Become internal expert and lead support person to manage and enhance use of Customer Relationship
Management (“CRM”) system;
Organize multiple data sources, streamline and condense into usable format, providing regular updates and communications of required data and results to management team and other internal customers;
Assist in annual forecast modeling, budget preparation and analysis (company and department-level);provide analysis and recommendations for revenue/price drivers, margin management and expense monitoring;
Create process flow checklists for specific tasks, roles or projects, especially in support of sales,operations and accounting; integrate processes and checklists into CRM; manage and hold others accountable to results delivery and adherence to following through with processes and checklists;
Support the continuous improvement of the company’s existing product lines and support the process for new technological and/or product innovations;
Attend industry conferences and participate in industry associations as related to existing product lines and technology advancements; and,
Other tasks and special projects as assigned.
During first three months, 50% of time will be spent in company headquarters in Visalia, CA, and 50% of time will be spent in Omaha sales office; primary office thereafter in Omaha, with travel up to 50% as needed.
B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or other related field. Candidates with a 4-year degree in another quantitative field – such as science or engineering – coupled with proven financial work experience, are also encouraged to apply. A graduate degree will enhance consideration.
Financial modeling and analysis of product offering and business profit and loss statements required.
Equity research, investment banking, and/or corporate banking experience preferred, but not required.
Direct industry experience with ethanol, fuels, agriculture, enzymes, yeasts, sugars, and/or cellulose preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills required – speaking and writing.
The proper candidate will be a self-starter, able to manage his/her time, and be extremely organized.
Must have extremely high computer proficiency, specifically in Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office suite; testing may be required.
Knowledge of, and use in, a statistical software package will enhance consideration.
