On December 4, at 130pm ET, Tepper Energy & Clean Tech Club MBA candidates are invited to talk, by Zoom, with cleantech insiders about getting jobs & internships in renewable energy jobs (see profiles below). The session is intended to:
- Discuss how Covid19 has affected cleantech job prospects and the searching process
- Provide great information and inspiration by empowering candidates to present questions to recent cleantech MBA hires
- Allow you to network with MBAs in cleantech outside of your alumni tribe
Where & When

All Tepper MBAs are welcome to attend the Tepper Cleantech Careers event. We’re not sure if all candidates will be able to ask a question, but we’ll do our best. This event is not a virtual career fair where you sell yourself. This is not a presentation where you sit and listen. The goal here is for attendees to engage and to learn about cleantech careers by asking questions.
1:00-1:30 – CANCELLED Q&A with Aashna Mehra, New Energy Capital Partners CANCELLED. We may be able to add Aashna at 2pm.
1:30: 2:00 – Q&A with Ben Metcalf, Galehead Development and Lewis Bichkoff, MCE.
2:00 to ?? Mike B will stay around after the speakers have left to answer additional questions.
Ben and Lewis will open their sessions by chatting a bit about themselves and their company. We then will take questions. You may also submit your questions in advance by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

Mike Brownell, Dayaway Careers Founder & President
After surviving a grueling career at Accenture (lame humor intended here), Mike bolted in 2002 to rediscover his family (great wife and awesome two sons), to make lots of new mistakes and to start Dayaway in 2009. Mike’s north star, personally and for Dayaway, is to move a generation of young professionals a few degrees towards renewable energy jobs. So far, so good.
Sheldon Pei, Tepper 2021 MBA Candidate, __, Tepper Energy & Clean Tech Club
Currently a 1st year MBA student at Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business, Sheldon is currently transitioning into and discovering the wonders of the cleantech industry. After a short stint as an architect in China, He spent the last 6 years working as a structural engineer in the offshore Oil/Gas industry. He once heard an energy executive say that an energy transition might not happen due to the convenience of fossil fuels. Now Sheldon’s new goal is to make sure that statement does not come true.
