Position Summary

Systems Engineer with a proven track record of supporting the development and launch of innovative and robust components and systems. Candidate is skilled at creating and translating system and subsystem level product requirements into solutions and processes, including software, mechanical, & electrical best practices, and a history of delivering functionality, reliability, and technical innovation.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and author requirements for automotive systems, components, and subsystems to meet customer specifications.
Develop and maintain system requirements, design specifications, and design & create system test plans.
Develop systems architecture for components in electric trucks.
Develop roadmaps and gap analysis for ASPICE compliance.
Lead review processes for software feature releases.
Manage systems and software change requests in JIRA
Support project management teams with project launches and roadblocks.
Support engineering team in functional compliant processes.
Support in process developments for software and systems engineering teams.
Ability to troubleshoot system performance issues.
Experience with CAN communication protocol and any other protocols such as ethernet/LIN
Moderate DFMEAs for systems and software engineering teams
Track and monitor all requirement and technical specifications updates.
Provide Support in the following areas:
Support the validation team during bench testing phases and during vehicle testing phases.
Support Software team during requirements development and testing
Ensure project deliverables are in compliance with quality, timing, and budget constraints.

Position Qualifications

B.S degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
At least 2 years of experience in MBSE, model-based systems engineering
At least 2 years of experience in requirements developments that satisfy the V diagram.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORs/ Polarion/ JAMA etc.
Experience in project and program management
Ability to work on-site in Kansas City

Troubleshooting Mindset and Experience
ASPICE project development experience
Software development experience with C, C++
Model-based systems engineering experience.

Familiar with ISO 26262 or any other functional safety standards

Time management Guru
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
