Position Summary:
Redaptive is seeking a Business Development Associate – Structured Finance. This position will aid in the deployment of project financing for nationwide energy efficiency, renewable energy and resiliency projects for customers across commercial, industrial, municipal, healthcare and higher education sectors.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Indirect Sales, in this role you will work closely with Redaptive’s sales, credit and legal teams to structure unique project financing programs for our customers.
A successful Business Development Associate will gain experience working on both, sales pipeline development (origination) as well as the deployment of already contracted projects (program management). You will work on developing investment models in Microsoft Excel, creating customer pitches in Microsoft PowerPoint, sales pipeline management in Salesforce.com, customer contracts with Redaptive Legal, and help to manage project vendors through the deployment of energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect / Cold Call potential customers for new financing business
Create customer pitch presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
Work with industry developers, end customers, and Redaptive’s internal Legal and Finance teams to structure unique contracts to meet the needs of large customers
Manage the group’s sales pipeline in our customer relationship management system, Salesforce.com
Oversee data collection from both external vendors and internal parties (Commercial Product, Legal, Finance)
Proactively drive analysis and proposal generation at different stages of transaction cycles
Leverage partner relationships and in-house expertise to validate constructability of projects to meet customer needs
Frequent vendor and customer interactions through sales calls and virtual meetings
Required Abilities And Skills:
5-7+ years of experience in project finance, consulting, business development, sales and/or program management in the energy, energy efficiency and distributed energy markets
Experience working with project developers in the C&I and MUSH energy markets
Excellent PowerPoint pitch development skills
Expertise in analyzing and understanding commercial credit
Experience working with Salesforce CRM
History of working on complex transactions with customized legal and financial structuring
Experience in understanding capital markets transactions
Understanding of tax equity structures, market, and implications on capital structures
Travel: 30% /attend in person meetings as needed

Expected annual salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (subject to adjustment for relevant experience, skills, geo location)
