About the job
As a Marketing & Graphic Design Intern, you will work under the Marketing Manager and collaborate with our business development and technical teams to create compelling visual and written content. This internship is an opportunity to build real-world experience in proposal design, branding, and content creation within the sustainability and energy engineering industry.
You will support the development of marketing materials, graphics, and proposal layouts that highlight our technical expertise, mission, and commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Content Creation
Assist in designing graphics, layouts, infographics, and visual elements for proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
Help maintain brand consistency across all visual communications.
Support the creation and formatting of digital content such as brochures, social media visuals, and corporate templates.
Proposal & Marketing Support
Work with cross-functional teams to format proposal documents and presentations.
Assist in incorporating visual elements (graphics, charts, icons) to enhance clarity and storytelling.
Support editing and proofreading for accuracy, style, and visual coherence
Content Organization & Documentation
Help organize marketing content, resumes, and project descriptions in our internal database.
Assist with updating staff bios and resumes in coordination with HR and engineering teams.
Support the maintenance of project descriptions and marketing collateral repositories.
Learning & Collaboration
Participate in proposal kickoff meetings to observe the proposal development process.
Learn compliance and proposal layout standards under guidance from senior staff.
Collaborate with team members to improve templates, style guides, and visual standards.
Perform other duties as needed.

What You’ll Gain:

What you Need
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva.
Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling designs.
Passion for creating polished and professional design work.
WordPress and Elementor expertise a plus but not required.
Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
Interest in sustainability, engineering, or clean energy industries (a plus).
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to take direction, ask questions, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn proposal formatting in Word.

This is an internship position (approximately 30 hours per week) based out of our Salt Lake City (SLC) office. In-person presence is required, as this role involves on-site collaboration and engagement with our team.
