Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing Cenergistic’s energy conservation best practices, performing technical troubleshooting, and driving overall client performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC engineering and energy optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement energy conservation standards and protocols that meet or exceed code and industry standards for commercial buildings.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.

Oversee implementation processes with a focus on safety and best-in-class practices.

Provide technical troubleshooting and maintenance support using historical data.

Collaborate with field engineering, measurement & verification, and client management teams to optimize outcomes.

Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Support energy conservation measures, implementation plans, and capital projects.

Prepare and deliver regular project status and performance reports to management.

Anticipated travel: 5%–8%.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.

2–3 years of experience in energy conservation, energy accounting, or a related engineering field.

Experience in HVAC system design and operations, including chillers and boilers preferred.

Proficiency in Return on Investment (ROI) calculations.

Expertise in optimizing mechanical systems using control and energy management strategies.

Experience with business plan development and leading cross-functional teams.
