Summary:

The Documentation & Training Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing, maintaining and delivering training materials and documentation to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within the Project Success team. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop effective training programs and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support department processes.

Job Details:

Establish and own documentation standards and version control processes to maintain a centralized repository of Project Success documentation (including standard operating procedures, templates, trainings) and ensure accessibility and usability
Develop clear, concise and comprehensive documentation to support change initiatives, including user guides, manuals, process workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs and other instructional or training materials)
Design and deliver user-centered documentation and training programs and materials tailored to support employees with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to departmental changes, including new processes, systems or technologies
Understand users’ needs, preferences and behaviors to create content that is intuitive, easy to understand and is accessible and engaging for employees within Project Success
Stay up-to-date on latest best practices in documentation and training methodologies
Collaborate with Project Success department heads and other relevant stakeholders to assess training needs, conduct training evaluations and continuously improve training programs based on feedback and outcomes
Collaborate with subject matter experts to document and develop training and documentation needs based on department practices
Serve as business partner to Powin Technical Publications team, ensuring Project Success has conducted relevant reviews of controlled product documentation
Analyze existing processes and standard operating procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
Create engaging and informative training materials, including manuals, guides and presentations
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Familiarity with training delivery (virtual, online/on-demand, in-person)
Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presenting and listening) and effective problem-solving skills
Ability to align communications with the end user in focus; ability to deliver structured and simple messages
High attention to detail and highly organized; ability to multi-task several projects at once
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to influence senior level management and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
This position is flexible with onsite (PDX/Tualatin), hybrid and/or remote
