About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support our energy analytics team in advancing the analysis and optimization of energy systems. This role provides the opportunity to work on real-world energy challenges, gain hands-on experience with data and software tools, and contribute directly to projects shaping the future of reliable power solutions.
Responsibilities
Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure reliability for energy system modeling
Develop scripts to automate tasks, process and visualize data, and build statistical models
Model energy systems, validate and interpret results, and generate data-driven insights to optimize hybrid assets for customer needs
Summarize analytical findings in clear, compelling presentations and memos for both internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to software engineering efforts, including feature testing and UX improvement
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience in data analysis, manipulation, and visualization
A strong understanding of statistical modeling concepts (e.g., probability, sampling methods)
Proficiency in Python (or a similar language)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables
Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in STEM
Experience in the energy industry and with optimization techniques a plus
