Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong technical aptitude to support our strategic, financial, and operational goals. This role requires not only financial modeling expertise but also the ability to quickly understand and evaluate battery and advanced material applications and translate technical developments into clear, data-driven projections and compelling presentations.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Corporate Development leadership to prepare materials to support fundraising, strategic planning and partnerships.
Build and maintain dynamic financial models that integrate R&D milestones, production scale-up, capital requirements, and market adoption scenarios.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing on emerging battery technologies, including vanadium cathodes and lithium metal systems.
Support applications and reporting for non-dilutive funding sources (e.g., DOE, DoW, EXIM Bank), ensuring alignment with both financial strategy and technical progress.
Develop high-impact presentations and materials for internal leadership, board meetings, investors, government agencies, and external partners.
Translate complex technical and financial insights into clear, actionable narratives for decision-makers
Assess capital requirements and ROI for new product development and commercialization while providing real-time decision support to leadership for go-to-market strategies and resource allocation
Support fundraising, partnership, and investor relations activities with robust analysis.
Work closely with R&D, Technology, and Business teams to align financial models with technical and market realities.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field
3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate development, or the FP&A space with a preferred focus in the battery technology or clean energy space
Proven ability to develop and maintain sophisticated financial models including DCF
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; ability to create compelling, executive-level presentations.
Comfort working in fast-paced, R&D-driven environments with shifting priorities.
Strong technical writing ability, proven track record of writing reports.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of battery chemistry and materials economics (especially vanadium and lithium).
Experience supporting capital raising or M&A transactions in the energy, cleantech, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
Familiarity with batteries, energy storage, materials science, or advanced manufacturing
