About the J
obAs a Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the technical and engineering aspects of Peak’s projects. You’ll design site layouts, engage with EPCs, and ensure projects are technically sound, cost-effective, and optimized for execution. This is a highly cross-functional role — you’ll work side by side with Project Managers, Finance, and our internal cell and ESS engineering teams to drive projects from concept to commissioni

es:Serve as the customer-facing, technical arm of sales and execution, acting as the bridge between Peak’s engineering teams and external stakeholders translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for custome
rs.Create and optimize site layouts, electrical designs, and conceptual engineering packages for utility-scale storage projec
ts.Manage technical due diligence, including geotechnical, environmental, and interconnection studi
es.Partner with EPC contractors to evaluate construction methods, cost estimates, and schedul
es.Support Project Managers in technical aspects of permitting and community engageme
nt.Review and incorporate interconnection requirements, codes, and standards into desi
gn.Provide input into project financial models by translating technical assumptions into cost/performance outcom
es.Contribute to RFP responses and bid packages with accurate technical conte
nt.
Minimum Qualificati
ons:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related fi
eld.3–7 years of experience in engineering for renewable energy or power proje
cts.Experience designing or supporting utility scale power proj
ectsProficiency in site design, layout, and electrical system modeling tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, G
IS).Understanding of Interconnection, codes/standards, and EPC contracting proc
ess.Ability to collaborate across teams and translate technical details into project decisi
ons.Strong problem-solving skills with attention to constructability and cost-effectiven
ess.Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovat
ion.Eligible to work in the

Preferred Qualificat
ions:Experience designing or supporting utility-scale battery storage proj
ects.Experience designing, sizing and configuring utility scale BESS p
lantsKnowledge of NFPA 855, UL 9540, and other relevant codes/stand
ards.Experience working directly with EPCs on constructability reviews and cost estim
ates.Background in commissioning support, QA/QC processes, or system validation for BESS Proj
ects.Advanced degree in engineering or energy sys
tems.
The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $170,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills.
