Technical Program Manager – Hardware Product Development

Job Summary:

TPMs at Lunar Energy are responsible for leading complex engineering programs from initial concepts through to volume manufacturing. Requiring extremely close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and external partners, TPMs are instrumental in aligning diverse, global teams through a mix of leadership, engineering knowledge, and exceptional communications. About You:

B.S/ M.S Engineering or 3-5+ years of equivalent related experience with a strong track record of shipping products, and deep knowledge of the stages of a new product development.
Expert in using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheets, or similar.
Able to work onsite most working days.
You are passionate about accelerating the adoption of renewables and improving our energy infrastructure, particularly through your ability to execute ambitious program plans.
You have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) at every level of the organization internally and with key suppliers and partners.
You can thrive in an ambiguous startup environment and effectively collaborate across teams and levels within an organization.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely:

Develop program schedules, define milestones, identify risks, and clearly communicate ongoing progress through close collaboration with both the engineering and operations teams.
Translate the top-down corporate strategy and objectives into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables, while defining and tracking resource requirements, including headcount and budget.
Actively drive the program by ensuring everyone is working on the right priorities, resolving key risks, unblocking progress, and escalating issues to secure additional resources or support.
Establish and host regular technical design reviews with engineering teams and build action plans to resolve key issues identified.
Consistently identify program risks and dependencies while working to mitigate and reduce exposure, and escalating appropriately to the executive team.
Coordinate and support onsite prototype builds and early-stage production builds at contract manufacturers while working to track and resolve issues found during the builds.
Make decisions to drive progress forward, and pull in the appropriate teams to drive cross-functional decision-making rapidly.

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $130k -$150k

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
