Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for summer 2026. The goal of the Software Engineering Intern at Wisk is to ensure that right software solutions are identified from the codebase with corrective actions using Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. You will be part of the MMS/Autonomy software team that designs and develops the algorithms to enable autonomous flight of our airplanes.
Responsibilities
As part of the Software organization, and deployed in an MMS/Autonomy software team you will act as a Software Engineering Intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
You will take part in analysis of Autonomy prototype flight software models and code development.
You will help with identifying common issues across the prototype flight software using AI/ML.
You will take part in analysis of the common issues across the prototype software models and code base and generate corrective actions for the identified issues using AI/ML.
Requirements
Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028
Academic skills with AI/ML is preferred.
Exposure to Matlab/Simulink, embedded C/C++ and Python programming language, Amazon Q, Gemini, Git and LLMs preferred.

Pay Rate for this internship opportunity is up to $30 per hour
