We are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join our Cell Technology Laboratory. You will install and operate various analytical instrumentation and develop methods for analyzing electrolyzer components. You will develop and improve existing metrology for the mechanical analysis of electrolyzer components including design of experiments and custom mechanical testing fixtures.

You will work onsite in our Lab in Natick, MA, and report to the Director of Cell Technology.

Role And Responsibilities

Improve a variety of laboratory experiments and operations including wet chemistry and dry processing techniques
Prepare and characterize electrolyzer component samples regarding structural and mechanical analysis
Solve technical issues that arise within the laboratory
Set up and maintaining analytical equipment
Develop and implement new analytical methods

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in science field
3+ years experience working in a wet chemistry laboratory
3+ years experience with mechanical properties characterization of metals
Advanced CAD skills (e.g., AutoCAD, Onshape)
3+ years experience handling powders and hazardous materials
Must be ok working in a standing or seated position for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours
Significant walking or other means of mobility
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and must adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
Must wear appropriate PPE

$86,700—$116,450 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
