Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied physics discipline
Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technical fields and be able to converse with experts in those fields
Identify, recruit and build new collaborators, programs and relationships with the capabilities required to retire risk and accelerate roadmaps. Partners may include large and small companies, universities, National Labs, non-profit organizations, and foreign research organizations

The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
This team member will:
Support new program launch, execution, and conclusion. This includes executing contracts, setting and tracking milestones and deliverables, and memorializing outputs
Support innovation process across company divisions
Integrate with internal R&D, engineering, procurement and policy teams to understand existing roadmaps and technical and business gaps
May need to walk around lab, R&D, and manufacturing environments
CFS collaborates with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with groundbreaking new high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. HTS magnets will enable compact fusion power plants that can be constructed faster and at lower cost. Exceptional oral and written communication skills – ability to synthesize and present complex technical, programmatic and business information
Write government grant applications, program pitches, and other documents as needed
Experience owning, developing or managing a technical project, program or product
Devise and execute funding strategy for these programs, including but not limited to government grants, in-kind private collaborations, and other internal and external funding

Research experience with publication or program execution track record
This role will build relationships and programs with CFS partner institutions and federal and international governmental bodies to achieve technical and business goals across all company roadmaps.
