About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the accounting and reporting of multiple solar project entities and tax equity partnership structures. This position is responsible for executing the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, and supporting complex partnership and renewable energy accounting matters.
The ideal candidate has strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, experience in multi-entity environments, and exposure to partnership accounting or renewable energy/project-based industries.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries for assigned project entities and tax equity funds;
Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner;
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to management;
Support consolidation processes and intercompany reconciliations;
Track and account for work-in-progress (WIP) and project capitalization;
Support revenue recognition under lease accounting and related contracts;
Assist with tracking and accounting for Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) and other incentives;
Monitor operating expenses at the project level;
Prepare audit schedules and respond to external auditor requests;
Assist in maintaining internal controls and compliance with company policies;
Document accounting processes and procedures;
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the close and reporting process;
Support ERP system optimization and automation initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience Required
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP;
Advanced Excel skills;
ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, or similar) preferred;
Experience with fixed assets, WIP and revenue recognition;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
High attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to manage multiple deadlines across entities;
Effective written and verbal communication skills;
Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;
CPA (active) or CPA candidate preferred;
3+ years of accounting experience;
Exposure to multi-entity or project-based accounting environments preferred;

Salary: $80,000.00 –$100,000.00, bonus eligible.
