Position Overview

As a crucial member of the Asset Management team, the Analyst will play a pivot role in the operational and commercial oversight of Utility solar PV and Battery Storage System (BESS) in North America. The primary focus of this role will be on asset performance analysis, calculation, and reporting of key performance indicators, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Provide overall support to Asset Management in addressing commercial and operational issues, collaborating with various workstreams such as O&M, project administration, and finance.
Assist in operating assets financial planning and analytics, including monthly accruals of revenue, operating expenses, plant improvements, and other business-related impacts.
Analyze monthly project-level P&L, variance and cash flow forecasts
Collaborate in the annual budget planning process, analyzing individual assets and standardizing budget assumptions across the fleet
Conduct a monthly review of operational and financial KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities
Calculate and report KPIs and other performance metrics for operating sites such as Availability and Performance Ratio
Preparation of internal and external project reporting deliverables, including ad-hoc reports as needed.
Manage reporting cycle to ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial, operational, and contractual obligations
Support continuous improvement efforts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline with coursework in Finance or Accounting
2+ years of asset management experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various workstreams.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas.
Must be an advanced user or Microsoft Excel (incl. VBA)
Exceptional organization and work ethic to deliver against critical deadlines
Possesses a mindset of continuous improvement, always looking for opportunities to enhance individual and team performance.
Passionate about renewables and the energy transition with a basic understanding of organized energy market fundamentals
