Role Overview
The Associate Operational Asset Manager (OAM) will play a key role in driving value for Pivot Energy’s distributed generation assets and for all associated stakeholders. To deliver this value, the Associate Operational Asset Manager will leverage operations & maintenance (O&M) oversight and production data evaluation to optimize site performance.

Traveling domestically to job sites ranges from 5-10% of work hours. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage all operational facets of active solar PV distributed generation site operation within assigned sub-set of assets:
Manage subcontractors and oversee internal reporting systems to ensure assets are performing at or above forecasted production
Monitor, assess and manage the operational performance of solar assets to achieve the projects’ highest possible availability
Identify, evaluate, and implement optimization tactics for asset performance improvement
Diagnose system issue and schedule and manage corrective actions with subcontractors as required for maximum asset performance
Review preventative maintenance reports and identify follow-up activities required via corrective action tickets or workmanship warranty claims
Manage operational costs aligned with project budgets
Support new site onboarding:
Review and approve site commissioning documentation and O&M manuals
Review and manage contractual obligations for ongoing operations and compliance requirements
Support Financial Asset Management team:
Provide supporting documentation as needed for insurance renewals, claim management, payments, invoices, property tax, permitting, regulatory requirements, and other compliance obligations
Coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team to prepare accurate cash flow forecasting
Complete quarterly budget reviews for projects in and assigned portfolio
Provide quarterly operating reports for an assigned subset of assets
Required Competencies
Minimum one (1) to two (2) years related experience, preferably experience in the solar energy or other renewable energy industry.
Basic understanding of solar equipment, technologies (legacy and emerging), design, and plant operations
Basic understanding of performance monitoring and analysis using data acquisition systems and other tools to evaluate production data.
Experience in asset management, including contract management and compliance
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track & execute large volumes of ongoing compliance obligations
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams are highly desirable
Preferred Competencies
Solar engineering experience (PVsyst, Helioscope, etc.)
Understanding of Renewable Energy Credits
Understanding of Community Solar and Commercial & Industrial Solar
NABCEP certification (any category)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Data Management in various platforms, including SmartSheet and Salesforce
Experience managing commercial rooftop projects
Experience managing battery storage assets
Experience working with third-party clients on asset management portfolios
$70,000 – $85,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date). Compensation will be based on factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, certifications, skills, and experience.
