Complete initial operator training program designed to prepare candidates to independently perform remote monitoring and operation of solar facilities.
Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams
Valid Driver’s License
After the initial training phase, this position will work 8 hour days Monday – Friday. The schedule may vary, with advanced notice, 8-4, 9-5,10-6 etc. depending on need.

Closely monitor the day-to-day operation of numerous 2MW to 100MW solar projects
Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found via DAS/SCADA.

Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a highly motivated intern to help monitor the daily operation of a rapidly growing portfolio of utility-scale PV plants. The Control Center Intern will join our operator team to perform continuous real-time monitoring and control of Solar Facility performance, energy yield, and output. Over the summer the intern will be trained in the essential knowledge and skills necessary to monitor and operate utility-scale solar generation facilities.

Proficiency with MS Office suite
The Company
Aid field technicians with system troubleshooting and providing routine dispatch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of PV systems, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring.
Duration:
Data analysis of underperforming systems.
Summary
Ability to obtain unescorted access for NERC/CIP facilities
Perform daily reporting of solar facility performance.
The intern program will ideally run for a 3 month period, June 1 to Sep 1. Students who would need to return to school prior to Sep 1 are still encouraged to apply. Training may also be assigned and compensated prior to the June 1 start.
Knowledge of power generation design or operations
Responsible for maintaining availability levels at each solar facility as well as following curtailment directives
Act as point of contact for field technicians, remote plant operators, utilities, and transmission operators regarding performance, control, and schedules for solar facilities.
