Engineering Intern assisting in the development of SCADA and I&C designs for solar PV and battery storage projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Under direction, create and assist in development of I&C (Instrumentation and Controls) relevant deliverables, including bills of materials, block diagrams, and wiring schematics.
Under direction, specify components to meet project requirements, for project designs, RFP (Requests for Proposals) development and assist in the business development process to help Strata win new projects.
Under direction and in collaboration with I&C / SCADA engineers, assist in commissioning support to progress to project completion.
Assist in the development of templates and other methods to improve department efficiency.
Perform technical review of third-party documentation, including assisting to achieve NERC compliance.
Assist in development of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for repower projects, with possible programming and testing for execution, and site visits for scope of work and estimate development.
Other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

Student studying towards BS in Engineering; Electrical and Environmental preferred, but other degrees and disciplines will be considered. Junior or sophomore preferred. Graduate students also encouraged to apply.
Proficient with MS Office.
Interest and / or experience with PV projects and Clean Energy.
Experience with AutoCAD is an asset, or a willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
