With over a decade of leadership in renewable energy development in North America, 174PG originates and builds highly productive large utility scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities.

174PG has recently expanded into the Green Hydrogen (GH2) generation market. By leveraging expertise in renewable energy development together with GH2, the goal of 174PG is to be an early leader in the GH2 market targeting the ZEV transportation, long duration energy storage, green ammonia export and low carbon emission power generation industries.

Position Overview

The Manager of GH2 Business Development will act as business developer for specific U.S. projects. With focus on GH2 and green ammonia market development and building strategic partnerships. The Manager will work closely across several Hanwha affiliate companies involved in the Hydrogen value stream and will report to the 174PG Vice President of GH2 Business Development. This position will be located in Houston, but open to other locations for the right candidate. Travel requirement up to 30% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITES

Originate and contract long term GH2 offtake agreements with customers and end users. Stay current with market trends in pricing, contract terms and conditions.
Identifying mega trends and other important macro factors that could shape and impact the Hydrogen economy to strategically position 174PG to be a leader in the industry
Work closely with energy development companies through bi-lateral agreements to develop green energy projects which generate competitively priced GH2 and ammonia
Prepare and present presentations to Senior Management as requested
Work with different internal teams to negotiate contract terms (project finance, engineering, project management, procurement and legal)
Build strategic business partnerships and alliances to enhance 174PG position in the GH2 market
Build long term partnerships at local and state level economic development offices for co-development opportunities and to leverage state level GH2 incentives
Represent 174PG at industry events and network to enhance relationships within the industry
All other duties as assigned by Senior Management
Regular attendance, in accordance with the company’s attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the US energy markets with a strong interest in Hydrogen and the energy transition.
Existing experience with suppliers, consumers, and potential partners in the energy space
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a technical or business Master’s degree.
5 + years of technical experience in related energy markets
Entrepreneurial minded and strong self-starter approach to work requiring minimal supervision
Strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills; and the ability to quickly work on new tasks and accommodate changing circumstances
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
