About the Role:
As part of the continued expansion of our Research team, Noreva is hiring a Natural Gas Markets Analyst to support and advance our fuels research and analytics capabilities. We are looking for a market practitioner who combines a strong fundamental understanding of natural gas markets with the technical ability to build and enhance analytical tools and models. This role is highly entrepreneurial, featuring extensive interaction with clients and market participants and offering opportunities for team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Build the Coverage: Develop and evolve Noreva’s natural gas market coverage by building fundamental models spanning supply-demand balances, storage dynamics, price drivers, and scenario analysis.
Decode Market Flows: Analyze regional basis dynamics, LNG exports, pipeline constraints, and power sector demand to understand what is driving the U.S. gas market day-to-day.
Deliver Actionable Insight: Produce recurring market reports, price outlooks, and thematic research that help investors and market participants navigate evolving gas markets.
Advise Sophisticated Clients: Partner directly with investors, developers, and traders on bespoke engagements including market sizing, asset-level analysis, diligence, and long-term market outlooks.
Help Build the Platform: Contribute to the growth of Noreva’s data platform through model automation, new datasets, and the development of next-generation research products.
Stay Ahead of the Market: Track regulatory, policy, infrastructure, and macro developments shaping natural gas and adjacent markets, including LNG, power, and renewables.
Qualifications:
2-5+ years of experience analyzing North American natural gas markets, including demonstrated understanding of supply, demand, storage dynamics, pipeline dynamics, and regional price formation
Proven ability to translate market fundamentals into quantitative analysis or forecasting frameworks as well as qualitative research
Advanced Excel skills and Python proficiency required
Strong data intuition: experience working with large market datasets, time series data, or API-driven data pipelines is highly valued
Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, build-oriented environment where processes and products are actively evolving
