About The Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program offers students hands-on experience working on real projects in the renewable energy industry. Interns are embedded within their teams, collaborate across departments, and contribute to meaningful work that supports business operations while building practical, career-ready skills.

Position Overview

The Procurement Intern will support the development of a company-wide vendor management program, helping establish processes that ensure vendors meet quality, compliance, and performance standards.

This is a great opportunity for a student interested in supply chain, operations, risk management, and process development to gain hands-on experience building a program from the ground up.

Onsite Requirement

This internship is onsite at Strata Clean Energy’s Durham Headquarters. Interns are expected to work in person to support collaboration, mentorship, and cross-functional engagement.

What You’ll Do

Support the development of a structured vendor management program across multiple business units
Assist in creating vendor evaluation and onboarding criteria
Help build processes for vendor compliance, risk management, and performance tracking
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define workflows
Develop templates and documentation for:
Vendor onboarding
Due diligence
Ongoing monitoring and oversight
Conduct research on industry best practices in vendor management
What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Interest in renewable energy and sustainability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
