Program Coordinator, Sunscription
The Sunscription Program Coordinator will assist the Sunscription team in maintaining fully subscribed Community Solar gardens and supporting a top-notch experience for customers after they enroll. This individual will enable residents and businesses to participate in local solar energy development by managing the operational details that connect customer accounts, utility systems, subscription records, and Solar Garden allocations.
This role is focused on accurate execution within utility portals, careful handling of customer and utility account information, and timely preparation of documents required for program participation, account updates, and operational follow-through. The Program Coordinator will help ensure that account changes, utility submissions, legal documents, allocation records, and exception items are completed clearly and consistently.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with internal teams and utility partners. This is primarily an internal and utility-facing role, not a customer-support role. The work is well suited for someone who likes solving practical problems, keeping records accurate, learning program rules quickly, and creating order across many small but important operational tasks.
What You’ll Do
Execute Community Solar account-management tasks in electric utility portals, including customer account updates, account cancellations, relocations, usage changes, meter updates, and other account-change workflows.
Review and verify utility account details, service addresses, meter information, subscription records, and related customer account data for completeness and accuracy.
Prepare, organize, and maintain subscription documents, utility documents, and program records required for participation, account changes, and financial or operational closeout processes.
Track utility portal submissions, open account-change items, missing documentation, unresolved exceptions, and follow-up needs.
Coordinate with internal billing, enrollment, support, and operations team members to resolve utility-data issues and keep account workflows moving.
Communicate with utility partners as needed to confirm requirements, clarify account changes, resolve data issues, and support recurring program administration.
Maintain clear notes, checklists, document folders, and status updates so the team can understand what has been completed and what still needs attention.
Support Sunscription’s management of Solar Garden participation by helping ensure account records, utility records, and subscription documents remain aligned.
Identify recurring blockers or unclear utility requirements and raise them to the team for review.
Handle customer and utility information carefully, consistently, and confidentially.
What Will Help You Succeed
Strong attention to detail and comfort completing recurring operational tasks accurately.
Ability to learn utility portal workflows, follow checklists, and apply program rules consistently.
Clear written communication with internal team members and utility partners.
Strong organization skills and the ability to track multiple open items without losing follow-through.
Comfort reviewing documents, comparing records, entering updates, and flagging unclear or incomplete information.
Ability to work independently while staying connected to a small, fast-moving team.
Practical problem-solving skills and willingness to ask good questions when account information does not tie out.
Comfort working with customer account information, utility data, and confidential records.
Interest in Community Solar, renewable energy, utility operations, and customer savings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or 0-2+ years of professional experience in operations, administration, data entry, customer operations, utilities, energy, finance, insurance, healthcare administration, or a related detail-oriented field.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn utility portal functionality.
Ability to follow checklists, compare records, maintain notes, and manage recurring document or account-change workflows.
Ability to communicate progress, identify obstacles, and escalate unclear items to the right internal team member.
Comfort working primarily with internal teams and utility partners rather than serving as the main customer-support contact.
Ability to work from the Minneapolis area in a hybrid environment is expected.
Prior experience with utility portals, Community Solar, electric utility bills, billing operations, account administration, or document review is helpful but not required.
