Job Summary

Sun Tribe EPC (“ST EPC”) is the mid-Atlantic’s premier distributed generation solar design and build firm. The business is focused on designing and constructing ground-mounted Solar Photovoltaic (PV) facilities that connect to the distribution grid (<20MWac). The Project Controls Associate at Sun Tribe is an introductory level position responsible for assisting in the management of solar PV projects, ensuring timely and accurate of reporting, tracking, accounting, information management and development of project-level documentation. The Project Controls Associate reports to the Project Manager. Principal Responsibilities Progress and variance tracking and reporting Project level accounting In conjunction with Accounts Payable, oversees invoice management Acts as internal accounting interface Oversees job binder creation and management Handles purchase order creation, issuance, and processing Prepares project schedule creation, monitoring, and maintenance Responsible for RFI and submittal processing and tracking Other responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree engineering, mathematics, computer science or other related field is preferred Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, Procore, and Smartsheet Skills & Experience Preferred experience using scheduling, database management and project management software Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment Self-motivated Honest, reliable, self-aware, and conscientious Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Requirements Demonstration of company core values; Community, Safety, Perpetual Improvement, Nature, Joy, and Respect Ability to work & thrive in a generally fast-paced office environment Some evening and weekend work may be required Location This position is eligible for a hybrid position in Charlottesville, VA Review of Applications will continue until the position is filled.
