DSD is a renewable energy development company focused on changing the calculus for energy consumers that want to own their clean energy supply. We engineer and operate onsite solar and battery storage systems for Fortune 500 brands, municipalities and provide community distributed generation solar to thousands of subscribers across the country. All of this is in support of decarbonizing the economy and fighting climate change.
Responsibilities
Build, develop and maintain financial models and various economic analyses to support solar and solar + battery energy storage projects
Support the execution of project finance, tax equity, and debt transactions
Support various funding transactions including coordination with project management, legal and independent engineers
knowledge
Collaborate with development, EPC, legal, and asset management teams to align financial strategy with project needs and timelines.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members; contribute to continuous improvement of models, processes, and documentation
Basic Qualifications
Experience in transaction execution and transaction diligence, including exposure to contract negotiation
Relevant financial modeling experience·
Strong desire to work in a closely knit team, on some of the most interesting and important challenges of our time
Based in our New York City office
Desired Qualifications
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and database languages (e.g., SQL)
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
Strong working knowledge of renewable energy incentives, tax equity structures (partnership flips, inverted leases), and IRA-related programs.
Exceptional communication skills with experience interfacing directly with institutional investors, legal counsel, and senior management.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Excel and PowerPoint experience
