Job Information

As a Treasury Analyst, you will primarily communicate and collaborate with the headquarters and sister companies in Korea. Your responsibilities will include extending loans, securing new loans, paying interest, managing U.S. withholding tax on interest, and handling all related accounting processes for loans received from banks and securities firms in Korea. You will also be responsible for tasks related to capital increases for Korean subsidiaries. Additionally, you will manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) tasks, as well as cash flow forecasting, in conjunction with Korean sister companies and branches. This position requires fluency in Korean due to the nature of job duty which involves collaborating with Korea team on a regular basis.

As this role encompasses tasks previously performed directly by the Finance Director, training and a handover of all duties will be provided.

Role & Responsibility

AR/AP and cashflow forecasting
Managing AR/AP tasks and cash forecasting for the company with the Korea branch and sister company.
Loan-related
Extending loans, securing new loans, paying interest, extending loans, securing new loans, paying interest.
Withholding tax payments and filing
Paying U.S. withholding tax on interest, brand fee, and filing 1042.
Treasury-related accounting treatment and internal control
Loan, AR/AP, W/H tax, capital injection-related accounting treatment through JDE.
Internal control documentation for the treasury activities.
Audit response related to funds and Footnote preparation.
Job Requirement – Skills

Cash Management
Deep understanding of daily cash positioning, cash flow forecasting (short-term and long-term) and managing bank account structures. This includes optimizing cash balances and minimizing idle cash.
Debt & Investment Management
Understanding of debt instruments, compliance with covenants, interest rate risk management, and managing short-term investment portfolios.
Communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean to present complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders
Attention to Detail
High level of accuracy and precision is critical in managing financial transactions and reporting
Job Requirement – Education

BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience
MA/MS degree with 3+ years of experience
Bilingual (English, Korean)
