Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager will join a dynamic, collaborative and high-performing team. In this critical role, the Manager will contribute to TerraForm Power’s financial operations and support strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities include owning and leading financial modeling for corporate covenant certifications, developing the annual five-year operating plan and budget, asset valuations, and ad-hoc CFO deliverables. The position also involves overseeing financial reporting for key business transactions, improving and designing finance processes, and providing cross-functional support on major initiatives and business transactions in addition to traditional finance management duties.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling:
Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, asset valuations, and strategic initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, development, accounting, and external advisors to validate assumptions and financial outcomes.
Support annual budget and multi-year planning cycles, including coordination with stakeholders and preparation of management presentations.
Conduct valuations of assets in the renewable power space using various methods such as precedent transactions and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuations.
Participate in development investment decisions and other transaction executions, which include due diligence of potential investments, identifying key investment merits and risks and range of outcomes or scenarios.
Oversee financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of internal and external reports.
Own and continuously improve finance processes, controls, and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
Support integration of new assets or initiatives into financial models and reporting frameworks.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations to senior leadership, translating complex financial information into actionable insights.

Core Skills And Competencies

Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and performance management.
Demonstrated ability to design and improve finance processes and reporting tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally
Detail-oriented, organized, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP and planning systems is an asset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
5-8+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure or capital-intensive industries.
Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
Experience with FP&A tools and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Databricks) and business intelligence tools is a plus
Experience working with senior leadership and presenting financial insights to executive audiences.
Demonstrated leadership capability with potential to mentor junior team members.
Professional with a positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture.

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 USD; bonus eligible
