Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the NERC Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance of Longroad’s projects with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and Operations & Planning (O&P) standards. This role involves monitoring regulatory changes, coordinating compliance activities, preparing documentation, and supporting audits and investigations. This role is fully remote.
Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret NERC, FERC, and regional reliability standards.
Coordinate compliance efforts across departments to ensure adherence to applicable standards.
Develop, maintain, and review NERC compliance documentation and evidence.
Support internal and external audits, including data requests, interviews, and mitigation plans.
Conduct internal assessments and gap analyses to identify regulatory compliance risks.
Collaborate with IT, operations, and engineering teams to implement and maintain CIP controls.
Track and report compliance metrics and trends to management.
Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs.
Maintain compliance tracking tools and ensure timely submission of required reports.
Participate in industry working groups and stay current on regulatory developments.
Occasional travel may be required for audits, training, or industry events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
2 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the electric utility industry.
Familiarity with NERC standards, especially CIP and O&P.
Experience with audit processes and compliance program development.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management tools.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, NERC certifications) preferred.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and electric utility operations is a plus.
