Overview
Responsible for exercising a qualified level of planning, scheduling and reporting proficiency and providing schedule monitoring, control measures, analysis and reporting.
Location and Travel: This will be an office based position in any of the following offices: Fargo, ND; Denver, CO; Phx, AZ; Indianapolis, IN; or Dallas, TX with 10-20% travel.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and monitor schedule and earned value baseline
Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and development of schedules and budget (including resource loading) for those WBS elements
Obtain and collect schedule updates from construction management personnel and contractors
Maintain project construction schedule baseline and updates
Assemble and compile schedules and inputs and provide detailed computer generated schedule reports, charts, and diagrams, as requested
Analyze schedule progress and performance and identifies developing problem areas
Maintain the master schedule logic and provides ongoing assessments of the impact of construction tasks delays, critical path, accelerations, cancellations, and additions to the overall Project Master schedule as well as for individual Project areas, and determines corrective action
Provide data processing support for network schedule calculations, reports, and other related services
Perform planning, scheduling and reporting duties with particular construction contractors and/or areas
Participate in the development and maintenance of any periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) status reports to keep management and/or owner informed on the project progress including labor/equipment/operations productivity and schedule status reports
Participate in the continuing development and maintenance of the project computer systems and Primavera based databases
Receive work assignments and specific instructions from the Senior Scheduler, Project Controls Manager, Estimating Manager, and Project Manager and may act as the responsible planning & scheduling representative on project tasks with accountability for the schedule and reporting requirements
Obtain input from the project team and various contractors and prepares the schedule portion of the Monthly Report
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Project Scheduler I:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
0-2 years of related experience in planning & scheduling on engineering and/or construction projects
Compensation $60k-$75k / year, commensurate with experience
Project Scheduler II:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
2-4 years of related experience in planning & scheduling on engineering and/or construction projects
Compensation $75k-$100k / year, commensurate with experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles
Knowledge/experience using earned value software applications and methodology
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera
Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
Write reports, business correspondence and document project activities
Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and other personnel on the project
Proficiency and knowledge of planning & scheduling and reporting techniques
Ability to work effectively and independently and follow through on assignments and have the ability to work well with others
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Compute rate, ratio and percent
Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked, work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, look at flat drawings, pictures and blueprints and visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width and depth, see detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings
