Position Specific Description

Our Distributed Generation Business Unit is looking for an Energy Analyst for its Community Solar team.

The Energy Analyst will responsible for analysis involving creating, managing, and organizing large sets of meta-data, operational performance data, and financial data to draw key business insights to guide day-to-day operational decision making and long-term strategic decision making.

This Role Has The Following Primary Responsibilities

Gathers, organizes and validates data from multiple sources.
Completes financial, operational, and technical project analyses to determine impacts on project operations.
Spearheads dashboarding and automation of analyses and processes to improve efficiency and to generate reports for management.
Maintains project schedules and leads project onboarding with Utilities.
Reviews and processes invoices for ongoing acquisition and maintenance.
Performs ad hoc projects, report development, modeling, and other miscellaneous projects as needed.
Supports market-specific compliance related tasks.

In this role you will interface subject matter experts (SMEs), including but not limited to origination, development, commercial legal, tax, accounting, and business management.

Practical experience in research, data gathering and analysis, proficiency in database management and proficiency in data visualization/presentation will set you up to be effective in this role.

To do this job well, you must be a team player that can balance priorities, be organized, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and communicate effectively.

Job Overview

Employees in this role support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets. This position supports budgeting and forecasting, analyzing P and L variance, participating in ad hoc and special projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Conducts basic operational analyses that supports informed decision making within the business unit, under the direction of a supervisor
Leads small to medium sized special projects
Performs quantitative and qualitative research, process design and modification, and report development
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
