Demonstrated experience providing excellent, timely and proactive customer service.
The Specialist, Events Sales is a key member of our growing Business Development team as we expand our events portfolio. This individual will be responsible for exhibits and sponsorship sales for multiple ACP events, account management, and logistics. The Specialist will collaborate with all levels of staff within ACP, across all departments and disciplines, and with key external stakeholders and members. The industry is a fast-paced, emerging space and ACP’s Events team reflects that and manages priorities accordingly. The Specialist must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to juggle simultaneous projects, and thrive in a collaborative, high performing environment.
Assist the Director with miscellaneous projects, including brainstorming new sponsorship ideas, meeting room sales, exhibitor/sponsor newsletters, floorplan development for events, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Map Your Show and other CRMs strongly desired.
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. with assistance and have the ability to load/unload shipments.
Ability to research effectively, project manage and prioritize, and develop sales strategies.

Travels to ACP events to provide support onsite.

Responsible for communicating exhibitor and sponsorship logistics to participating companies.
Job Conditions
We are a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high-level work demands and independent decision-making under tight timelines. Occasional travel outside of the Washington, DC area for meetings or events may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. ACP will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
We reasonably believe that the base salary range for this position is $55,000- 75,000. At ACP, a wide range of factors are considered when making compensation decisions including and not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, knowledge, and other business and organizational needs. About Us
Collaborate with ACP internal departments such as Marketing, Programming, and Logistics teams to ensure all sponsorship fulfillment is completed by deadlines.
2-4 years of experience in sales or events, experience in trade shows preferred.
Ability to analyze problems and take initiative to find solutions, to project manage and be organized, and meet deadlines.
Ability to travel (25%+) including occasional work/travel over weekends.
Education, Experience & Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with people at all organizational levels and act as a good team player.
Bachelor’s or associate degree in relevant field highly desired or combination of relevant work experience.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Manage exhibit and sponsorship sales for designated ACP events, to include sales outreach, processing sales applications, preparing sponsorship proposals, and responding to inquiries.
