Job Title: Transportaion Logistics Project Manager
Location(s); Portland Or
Job Description:
Support and coordinate the transportation of WTG from factory to US and Canadian site. The role provides value by delivering turbines in accordance with the contractual delivery schedule allowing TOR and cash milestones to be met and providing a condition for benefit, ‘Transportation Standards’.
Responsibilities:
Generate transportation quotes, surveys and plans for Sales and other stakeholders
Deliver turbines (small/medium sized projects of standard/moderate complexity)
Direct the day-to-day transportation operations of turbine deliveries.
Maintain the delivery schedule from PBU to site
Generate, publish and maintain project transportation schedules
Manage the budget (Post-Calc)
Monitor transport budgets during execution phase, update post calc and report deviations
Continuously optimize the execution plan to achieve maximum cost savings
PR/PO compliance
PR/PO management, invoice reconciliation, SAP/LES updates
Depending on specific focus area:
Support down turbine
Maintain the centralized container pool.
Execute transportation of frame returns and tools and rigging.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors’ degree in Business, Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management preferred or minimum 5 -6 years of experience in transportation/logistic related field
Working knowledge of freight operations, international shipping laws and transportation system optimization
Working knowledge of heavy and oversized hauls
Working knowledge of heavy equipment: trucks, rail and cranes
Experience with loading and unloading activities at US/Canadian Ports
Fundamental knowledge of US Customs and compliance laws
Advanced customer relations and problem-solving skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform under high pressures and changing work environment
Good ability to use Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
Great organizational skills and attention to detail
Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, SAP and additional software programs
Financial understanding
Ability to communicate orally and written in English
Ability to work flexible hours and with variety of cultures (coordinating with various time zones)
Problem solving skills
Regular and reliable attendance
