Position Description:
The Supply Chain Office Operation at Ultium Cells manage the entire process of purchasing and delivering raw materials to internal customers. Supply Chain Planner is crucial to running the day-to-day manufacturing operations, managing inventory levels, and maximizing the company’s profitability. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the material availability process. Additionally, the planner plays the closest role in the company’s production performance as well as a main communicator who guides the floor, operators, and engineers to create the best-case scenario for overall manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Set the material availability goals and monitor inventory on day-to-day basis
Monitor Supply Chain Coordinator’s productivity and provide guidance on material availability metrics
Synchronize information flow between multiple IT systems (Procurement Portal, SAP, GMES, GSCM, FP, MRP, WMS, etc.)
Set up weekly meetings between SCM, Marketing, Purchasing and Production Management Teams
Analysis the gap between performance and goals, including improvement plan
Resource management and planning (Headcount, Investment Budget, Engineer Allocation)
Work closely with production strategy to align production KPIs and the company’s goals
Defining appropriate Inventory stock level and checking the observance of inventory operation policy
Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage (from raw material to final product)
Master data creation/maintenance (BOM/BOD/Routing/Lead Time/Tact Time, etc.)
Collaborate and monitor closely with quality control, operators, and engineers on production performance
Promptly address and resolve issues to minimize delays in production
Recommend viable solutions to reduce costs as well as improve processes and product quality
Promptly discuss the relevant departments regarding changes to current production schedules
Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
Will work with suppliers outside of the US

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electronic, Chemical, Material, etc.)
Strong interest in automotive industry and basic understanding of manufacturing process
Strong written and oral communication skill
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to work cross-functionally
Strong computer skills required, including ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Manufacturing Legacy System
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
Master’s degree from an accredited university or MBA
3-5 years of experience in automotive industry
Supply chain or manufacturing operation experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong in detail and understanding of multiple metrics
High attention to detail and willingness to engage in manual work if needed, such as inventory verification
CPIM or CSCP certificates
