Job Overview
The Business Analyst will focus on supporting program implementation and systems planning for a wide range of programs. In particular, the Business Analyst will work with program teams to document and help translate program requirements, including program rules and automated workflows, into business requirements that can be used by IT teams to create system requirements. The business analyst also will contribute to several critical long-term projects that will involve working with multiple teams inside and outside of NSYERDA and require excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
Gathering of program requirements to inform business requirements development Gather requirements for program workflow system design through engagement with stakeholders to refine business needs into discreet functional processes. Analyze user requests to determine effective ways to deliver the desired outcome(s) while minimizing complexity and propose alternative solutions or enhancements to increase efficiency.
Creation of business requirements Create detailed business requirements documentation, including user journeys, user stories, workflow maps and flowcharts, and test plan content.
Standards and templates development Work with multiple NYSERDA teams to create, maintain, and improve standards and templates, including for program and business requirement documentation, workflow mapping, user journey mapping, and regression testing, amongst others.
Testing and quality assurance Take a lead role in testing and quality assurance by participating in user acceptance testing to ensure software meets user requirements and performs as expected.
End user and system integration support Provide end-user support after the deployment of new systems and after system updates. Work across teams in multiple development environments on system integration projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles.
Outstanding project management skills and initiative.
Experience working in a team environment both as a leader and active team member.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style.
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ relevant experience.
Additional Qualifications
Understanding of Salesforce architecture.
Familiarity with energy efficiency and clean energy programs.
Masters’ degree and 2 years’ relevant experience.
